Steve graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic institute with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He started his career as a manufacturing design engineer for a battery company. He quickly moved into program management which started him along the path to a career in management. Over the years, Steve has worked in multiple industries from consumer batteries, to a startup venture for automotive batteries, to the life sciences industry, and even crystal growth equipment. In each role, he progressed with increasing responsibilities in both engineering management and business development. Steve led many engineering teams in the development of new products in each of his respective fields.

Steve enjoys many outdoor activities including golf, basketball, hiking, boating, and snowmobiling. He is also a large proponent of home-made, wood-fired pizza.
